Lifemark Information

Corner Profile

Moisture from rain drains away via our aluminium jointing system and the corner profiles of the exterior walls, preventing problems of rotting timber, or damp and mouldy interiors. Watch the video below to find out more.

Integrated Joinery

Custom made joinery is integrated into the structural system for extra strength and to ensure a leak free living environment. Watch the video below to find out more.

Vertical Tie Rod

The Lockwood vertical tie rod provides lateral bracing and the strength to withstand extreme weather conditions and earthquakes. Watch the video below to find out more.

Passive Ventilation

Passive air flows over the top of the integrated joinery frames, allowing the building to breathe and feel fresh, ensuring a drier, healthier environment. Watch the video below to find out more.

Aluminium Cladding

Extruded aluminium sheathing is mechanically pressed onto the engineered profile of exterior boards. Watch the video below to find out more.

Insulated Exterior Wall

Lockwood’s tightly sandwiched wall system eliminates the opportunity for heat loss due to thermal conductivity. Watch the video below to find out more.

X Profile Connection

In the unique and exclusive Lockwood building system, solid timber planks and aluminium profiles are locked – rather than nailed together, to create a strong, versatile structure. Watch the video below to find out more.

Earthquake Resistance Testing

We test our system for geographical conditions and earth movement unlike any other New Zealand home building company. Watch the video below to find out more.

Mark Christison and his experiences through the Christchurch Earthquake

Mark Christison was the Christchurch City Council water and waste manager, responsible for the planning and delivery of the City’s essential services (water supply, wastewater services, rubbish and recycling services and storm water and land drainage).

Mark was responsible for leading the infrastructure response after the Canterbury Earthquake sequence in 2010 and 2011 and was instrumental in establishing the rebuild and recovery frameworks that have continued the recovery of the Christchurch since the earthquakes struck.

In the video below, he talks about the forces involved in the quakes and how his neighbourhood, as well as the city, was affected. He also describes how his 6 year old Lockwood “Governer” Home made it through with minimal damage, while other, newly built homes, suffered major damage.
